It doesn't, it either gets dumped into the ocean where the saltyness covers it up, or it is processed into fertilizer and shipped to alberta and the states.

You know what...I had a chance to meet with a bunch of Canadians the other day at the Hip concert here in Pitt. Some were expat and others were Hip followers. The only guy that acted like his "shit don't stink" was the guy from BC, Dam it...i can't get in to this here - I'll save it for another string,

$1:
What street do you live on?

Saskatoon only has one street. You should have asked which side, the one with the hitching posts or the one without.

Well I've spent almost as much time in Manitoba as I have in BC, so here goes:

Manitoba

- Like Saskatchewan, only with more trees and lakes... and oh yeah it's in the 21st century.
- Mosquitos so big and vicious that they have been known to carry off untethered and untended children.
- Too close to Ontario for its own good.
- The Hunky Hoe Down in Dauphin.
- Polar Bears and Beluga whale tours on its coast.

BC (Bring Cash)

- Skiing in the morning and golfing in the afternoon.
- Liquid sunshine.
- Aggressive pan handlers and a former welfare system that attracted all the scum from east of the Rockies (I remember King Ralph shipping his welfare bums west).
- Vancouver Island, the blessed isle that gives birth to gods and giants.
- deadheads(and I'm not talking about Grateful Dead fans or navigational hazards in the Salt Chuck) protesting anything and everything that is in vogue with the wingnuts rght and left.

I grew up in Vic, served there and attended university there. You mainland bastards rust. I remember lots of times we had water restrictions due to dry and sunny weather.

North island isn't to bad either. Gets kinda wet up north in campbell river though, very wet on the west side. Were the lucky bastards that tan.

Bossdog: How the hell are we suppost to know if our shit stinks or not if we can't smell it? Because we can't smell it, we only assume it doesn't stink... although I'm sure there is the occasional idiot out there that took a whiff of it one day and decided to get all pissy about the deal.

Didn't see any replies about NB.............take your pick

The good:

Moosehead/Alpine Beer
Salmon
Lobster
Low property costs
Slower pace of life, more like a mouse race
McCain French Fries!
Trees
Hunting, fishing
Abundance of lakes and rivers
Seashore/beaches
close to Maine, NS, PEI, QC
Telecom infrastructure
Power generation and infrastructure

The Bad:

Terrible roads
Goofy politics
Depressed economy
High unemployment

The one thing I associate with NB is the Silver Fox in Salisbury.
