I am visiting my dad out in the country today and he had the TV on a news show. The announcer was saying something about the Laura Secord chocolate factory bringing their head office back to Canda. At the end of the article he said, "Laura Secord was the heroine who helped Canada defeat the Americans in the War of 1812." You gotta love it.

She certainly was one brave lady.

She is also touted as having invented the much travelled Hershey Highway, the very road favored by the likes of Sven and Bill, located near the green, green grass of Smiths Falls and sometimes referred to as Route 66six.

Ask Laconfir about it, should be right up his alley.

One sees such things all over the net. it's like cow flop in a field. One avoids it, but essentially ignores it.

Not entirely true. There was Canadian Militia in the war as well. Plus the place was called Canada then and the war was fought there.

Is that a mis-spelling of fecal? You say the war 0 1812? That is a mis-spelling. You say brittan. I think you mean Great Britain. Another mis-spelling. You don't capitalize USA, which is a great, though probably inadvertant sign of disrespect for that warmongering nation of fools and wing nuts. Another mis-spelling in any event. You mean Hershey Hwy. You have four mistakes in two words there, that's a record. With Frank Zappa, no capitals is a double mistake on one fellow. While I find the rest somewhat amusing I find the mistreatment of one of the last century's greatest musician's name too disgusting to warrant me answering your original lie.

You're arguing semantics. The US did declare war on Great Britain, but initiated conflict by attacking Canada. Many Canadian soldiers fought in the war.

At what point did Americans become Americans. Not until the end of the war of independence? I would suggest that many people would have the perspective that America was America before it became officially independent. Certainly, many Canadians will argue that Canada existed before the Dominion of Canada became an independent nation.

By the way, making your posts unclear through spelling mistakes (i.e., brittish instead of British), lack of capitalization or appropriate punctuation does nothing to encourage people to take your thoughts and comments seriously.
