Looks like WRG and I will be volunteering for the games. (Well Rosie for sure, her friend is the chief cook and bottle washer for the snowboarding competition... ) But I will probably sign up and lend a hand also. Sounds like a pretty cool event, only athletes from above the 51 parallel can compete. Grande Prairie is the southern most city the games have been hosted at.

The Arctic Winter games are set to kick off tomorrow here in Grande Prairie. I think this is going to be an awesome event and the city is sure charged up about it. The weather has turned unseasonable warm, but I think it should be okay for the games.

Last night we had Lacrosse practice at the Leisure center. Quite a few of the athletes from Team Greanland seemed to be very interested in this sport that evidently they have never seen before. They hung around the area and watch pretty much all of our practice. It was pretty cool.

Your missing the real Arctic Games. The real Arctic games will begin when Russia asserts the ridges that lie in Canadian waters are really theirs and when the Chinese pursue to attempts to help themselves to 20% of what is left.

That will be the real Game.
