Dr. Steven J. Smith, Anthropologist, University of Spuzzum wrote:
After lengthy study in which researchers introduced themselves to on-the-street Canadians, Dr. Smith's researchers compiled their data and traced many back to one single family name from Japan. The surname Yagada was the 2nd most common name that turned up.
Researchers were to introduce themselves with their name and position, and record the immediate response of the person they talked to. In the "person's name" field, Dr Smith found hundreds upon hundreds of entries for:
Yagada Buck
Yagada Smoke
Yagada Dollar
Yagada Ride
Yagada Toonie
Yagada Lotta Nirvay
The most common response in the "name field" was Fuck Off, but Dr. Smith concluded that was merely disgruntled employees after they saw their first paychecks.
