I was at a really kewl book store today and they had a very neat book.

Large hard cover full colour book with a collection of all the Canadian Pacific posters from the world wars era's. Really neat stuff.

Would be great if people could find some of these on the net and post them. If we get enough I can make a gallery for them.

With me it was my grandfather, left the CPR and joined the PPCLI for the Great War then came back and was there until his retirement in 1956.

Back then, C.P. was the longest railroad on earth and the biggest corporation in Canada. Sinclair sold off all of the assets in the 70's, 80's to pay dividends to the stock holders. They burnt the furniture to keep warm. What a shame.

... starring HMCS Kitchener.

I have an analog copy of that movie. It's not bad! It's a decent quality movie!

Howard Hawks ... king of the dusters.

My dad worked at CP from the age of 17 till he retired at 56. All our relocations were courtesy of CP. Broadview SK, Brandon MB, Rivers MB, Winnipeg MB, and lastly Thunder Bay ON.
My brother has worked there since he finished school and will retire from there in a few years as well.

I spent a summer on a steel gang in the early 80's (Saskatchewan and Alberta) ... a summer job while in university. That was the hardest work that I have ever done in my life.
