The Dutch LOVE us Canadians.. I found that out first hand myself when I visited Holland years ago.. I stopped into a small local bar one day, and asked for a jug of beer. the bartender , who turned out to be the owner asked me what part of the US I was from. i told him I was a Canadian not an American.... The 1st jug was on the house.(as were many more) As we spoke the fact that I was "Black Watch" came up, and shortly after, an old fellow about 70 yrsd old came up to me and kissed me on the cheek and said to me "thank you Canada" and went and sat down. Well a whole wack of drinks appeared before me and I could not pay for a drink again when I went to that bar. The owner told me that the old fellow was liberated from the Nazis by a rifle section of the Black Watch during the war, and never forgot that.. I was allmost in tears at that point, and have never been so proud to be a Canadian as I was then..
Be proud to be Canadian friends... There is nothing wrong with pride IN WHO YOU ARE............

S.Korea? Other than the fact that it is a developing country, it's not so bad. The bureaucracy here is, to say the least, difficult. In addition, many S.Koreans see the US as the be all and end all of the world.

They have enough people to be able to develope it into something other than a military zone. The labour costs must also be quite low making them atractive to manufacturing.

Labour costs are one of the biggest problems. Wages are low and companies make a fortune off this. Just ask any Asian factory worker (and there are a lot in S.Korea). They are powerless to do anything about it.

Sorry, when I said labour costs are a problem, I didn't mean expenses. I was referring to the problems labourers are having with extremely low salaries, no benefits plus the fact that if they miss any time, for whatever reason, it is deducted.

The labour in those coutries never seem to get a fair shake, compared to us. From what I do know of those places, it's either that or nothing. So it's the lesser of the two evils I guess.
