My familiy on my dad's side came from Missouri and Minniasota between 1910 and 1917. On my mom's side they came from Hungary.

The one thing they had in common was that they went to Montana only to find there wasn't any land left to homested, so they crossed the border.

My fathers side came to Canada in the early 1600's from France my mothers side came to Canada in the early 1900's from the Ukraine.
Mom's side of the family was fortunate to board the Carpathian instead of Titanic for obvious reasons. 8O

Kind of an interesting one to scan through though.
My parents both came to Canada from Denmark as adults. In the 60s for my dad and the 70s for my mom.

Yeah.

Father's side came down from the Western Isles down through Devon then over to Canada in the 1850's. Mother's side were originally from Knapdale in Scotland, but we can't find the date they came over. Other part of Dad's flamily were a border reiver clan that made their way over to China as missionaries but came back after the mission was burned down in the 1920s.

Opps I stand corrected the lucky Ukarainians on board Carpathian where from dads side of the family and not moms.

I am 3/4 Ukaranian 1/4 French and there could also be some Native Canadian in my family tree as well.

I think dads side of the family originates from one of these fellas Jean Guyon Bisson 1619 or Gervais Bisson 1652 Hmmm...one of these days I'm going to have to look into this!

PS: Great Site Batman! 8O
