Canada declares war on Germany

A world crisis. Canada acts, starts pumping out tanks, ships, artillery, a massive military machine in the making of what was, could have been, and not is. Now, a spizzle relic of the cold war, Canada's aging equipment of when it mattered. A trickling of new technology is mattering for Afghanistan but half-heartedly it seems as new things are not bought while life-giving extention to crap technology is unfortuantely cheaper. When will Canada be the beast it once was and should be?

Like you said on another thread Tman, not until Russian or US warships start zooming up the Northwest Passage.

We will continue to spend as little as possible on defence.

What I find the most frightening is not only that we lost the will to make our own arms but we lost the nessesary supporting industries. Ore is now shipped offshore instead of making steel here. Without steel and the heavy industry to process it, no tanks or ships.

Can't now, most of our industry is foreign.

I agree, Its hard to image that once Canada had the 4th largest Navy in the world.
