If I am a citizen of an European country can I apply for a live in caregiver from Buffalo while I myself am already in Canada as a visitor? Thank you very much in advance for your replies:).

Do you really want to work for $8/hr, and have $325/mo deducted from your salary?

Anyhow, try http://www.cic.gc.ca. Everything you need to know should be on there.

yeah I have read all the info provided on that page and didnt find an answer to the specific question. Some sources say I can only apply from my home country, other sources say again that its the best to apply from the nearest out of Canada visa office which for me would be Buffalo since sometimes they ask you for an interview and it would be way easier to go for one to Buffalo rather than 6000 km to my home country. I mailed Buffalo visa office with the question but they just said they dont give individual counseling and redirected me to their homepage which also does not give an answer to this specific question. So if anyone knows an answer I would be more than thankful:)

You are a visitor, no visa, no workpermit? How long have you been in the country for?

My advice, first find a job, apply for a work visa, and go from there, either provincial nominee, or PR. Your "visitor visa" (what country are you from again?) will expire after 6 months, and that means you will be in Canada illegally, unless you have a workpermit.
As long as you are here on a visitor visa, you have to apply from your home-country. When you have a workpermit, you can apply for residency through Buffalo.
