Hell, I want more immigration, not less. The country's still pretty damned empty. I'd just they make it mandatory that have to live in cities other than Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal for the first 5 years. I'd also deport any immigrant convicted of a violent crime (after they got here).

And I'd totally agree with this post. Bring the good guys, stop bringing in criminals and deport those not yet citizens who are convicted of an indicitable offence. Loigical really.

problem is, how do you tell which one is a good guy and which one is a bad guy?
a bad guy doesn't have 'i'm a bad guy' written on their forehead.

my opinion, let's suppose this system brings in 100 people, and even if there are only 3 of them bad guys;
i'd say, keep all 100 out as you can't really tell which 3 are the bad ones.

after all, Canada's birth rate is okay, nothing to worry about.

if people really want the population to grow, why not outlaw 'abortion'?
why kill the babies?
before having sex, people need to think about the consequences and accept that consequence.
instead of killing those babies so irresponsible.

call abortion a crime and you'll soon see population growing.

can't tell the "bad guys" from the rest? Criminal=Bad Guy, so now by using this new logic, anybody who, has committed an indictable/hybrid offence and is an immigrant should be deported without a hearing.

Canada's birth rate is not ok, its fertility rate was 1.59 in 2006, you need 2.1 to replenish the population.
