We need people who want to become Canadians, not create ghettos and find offence with our lifestyles. But then again, it isn't just Canada and Canadians they have a problem with. They come into conflict with anyone who doesn't share their beliefs, be they Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu, Animist, Daoist, Druze, atheist or any other differing belief system.

We welcome people with open arms here. Living in such a blessed country is a privilege. Those who come here and lead a life of crime should be sent packing. With a one way ticket home. No if ands or buts.

This stuff is silly to say the least. Immigration is the life blood of this country, my family came here from Scotland a couple of centuries ago and I don't feel threatened by anyone. I suppose its because I have made friends with people from all over the world. What do immigrants want, a better education, more opportunity for their family, they want to improve their community, and help their
neighbout. Sounds like the average Canadian to me. In our family we have every group, well nearly every group, and I find some to be great, some of my family members are jerks, and that too sounds pretty Canadian. I don't understand people who hate others they don't even know. Fear and ignorance are matters of pity rather than scorn. We are a multi cultural nation so get over it

Not if you employ people in low paying jobs. If your economic growth is in McLabour these are actually subsidized in the nanny state and aggrivate the cost of socialism. You would be better off contracting the bottom with tight labour markets and higher minimum wage.

That is the truth. Economies go in 4 steps. It start with low productive and high brith and death (infant/young) rates. The final step has more productive with low birth and death rates. The problem is the birth are much lower than death in step. This applies to developed nations. Thus, we need people to come from other countries just to keep our population and economy in equal. Does not mean it is a free for all. It should be controlled, in fact it is one of the few thing the federal government should be doing.

Why would China want to do that. They are already buy up our industry and resource, in both countries. In a few years they will own most of our country with out having to fire one bullet. Plus that type of logical led to the interment of Japanese during WWII.
