Part of the reason I want to move to Canada is to adapt the culture, and I'm always willing to learn new things - if a language is one of them, I used to study French.. To a degree, but I'm sure I could get the hang of it again.
Where would you recommend I go? To keep the balance equal.. Haha
A list of towns and cities presently accepting applications
Elbow, Saskatchewan, Bacon Cove NFLD, Egypt Nova Scotia, St Louis du Ha Ha Quebec, Ethel Ontario, Finger Manitoba, Nojack Alberta, Blubber Bay British Columbia, Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Alert Nunavut.
Good luck

In all fairness, I don't think Canadians have done a good job offering newcomers their culture because so many Canadians are slightly mortified by their own culture. They find it old-fashioned, corny and/or kitschy. They've spent the better part of the last century culturally imitating the Americans in almost every way, and they still do.
I don't see how we can be angry at foreigners for not adopting our culture when we've tried so hard to erase it ourselves, and haven't offered them anything decent ro replace theirs with.
Also, like every country, Canada is a bit racist and its people have a past of not making outsiders feel very welcome, which also is a reason for ghettos. And don't get me wrong; I'm not saying Canada is an evil, villainous country for being a bit racist. I'm just saying it's normal for people to be a bit standoffish with outsiders at first, especially the ones that look and act so radically different.
I'm probably at least a bit racist by any definition of the term. I'm freaked out by people who are obviously Muslim. I regularly and involuntarily feel small pangs of disgust when I'm on the bus surrounded by a bunch of brown people yelling at each other is some foreign language. I admit it. But I know that is at least partially immoral according to the morality that I have adopted, that of individualism, where everyone has the right to dress as he wants and to speak the language he wants with those willing to speak it with him. But, as an individual, I don't have to like it.

DONT GO WHERE I AM!! Seriously, there is nothing here. You are 18, you don't need a "nothing" town. Lower Mainland (Vancouver and area) or Kamloops/Kelowna area (BC)... Otherwise maybe Ontario, but I dont know anything about that.
We are usually a bunch of friendly people, just a bit sick and tired of Winter and the grey stuff up in the sky at the moment Don't take offence... You will need that later

To be "somewhat serious" for a moment, Canada, like Britain allowed open immigration for many years. We have huge areas of cities now that have almost become ghettos of one particular “foreign” speaking, culturally different from the people around it.
Yes, he is right. There are white ghettos in almost every major Canadian city, but Richmond's are the worst...white people afraid of the new folks, white people to afraid to come out of their communities and cross their streets to meet their new neighbours.
And what happens is when the few of those white people who are bad steal or get drunk and disorderly or tie up, photograph, rape and murder other people...well the new people get a bad impression of ALL of the white people and dont want to bother with them either.
Not to say I can blame them, it is just human nature to want to be in a community with people like yourself - paces where it is safe and people understand you and oyur language, customs, cultures and traditions. If I was white I wouldn't come out of my house to meet the new people either!
I think we've just stepped back into silly again.......
Nah, his counter-point was appropriate and humorous.

Come on over, bring your Friends. WhenI die, I expect there to be 50-60 million Canadians. If I'm lucky, maybe even 70-80 million.

Don't worry. As a Briton you would fall under the category of delayed pioneer and not an immigrant. I think Eyebrock is the president of the Delayed Pioneers(not to be confused with DP - displaced person) Chapter here at CKA....even though he's technically a Paddy Papist. Hell they've even let in twisted - sheep, shag them after you steal them - MacDonalds into Canada.
