I was in Mitrovicia in 2000 to take over from the French army (their AOR, they ran when the heat got to be to much) 10 000 Albanians marched from Pristina to "get" the Serbs who were still in Mitrovicia, we stood on the bridge (defile that was wall to wall people) and a fucking riot broke out, a free for all like I have never seen, I have a video of the afternoon taken by our snipers, Malotv cocktails flying, UN vehicles burning (French troops to the rear of us literally bouncing tear gas off our backs as we (Canadians) fought back the Albainians) I wish this little prick had of been on the business end of a butt stroke and checked out forever.

APNewsBreak: Shooter allegedly a German Muslim

Quote:
MITROVICA, Kosovo -The gunman suspected of killing U.S. airmen outside Frankfurt airport is a German-born devout Muslim who works at the airport, according his uncle.

In an interview with The Associated Press in Kosovo, 70-year-old Rexhep Uka said the suspected gunman — Arid Uka — was born and raised in Germany after his parents moved there from Kosovo about 40 years ago.

The uncle says Arid is a pious Muslim whose grandfather was a religious leader at a mosque in the village of Zhabar, near Mitrovica, Kosovo.

Murat Uka, who identified himself as the alleged shooter's father, says the only thing he knew about his son was that he hadn't turned up at work on Wednesday.

The Frankfurt airport refused to comment on whether the suspect worked there.

Well if true then that is my theory out the window...

Why are there American troops in Germany anyway? World War II ended over 60 years ago. Time to go home.

It is the location of the main military hospital that provides for advanced and extended care for NATO members wounded in overseas operations. They also could have just been passing through.

There's 60,000+ American troops in Germany and the majority aren't physicians.

if the euroweenies could be trusted to take care of themselves, I'm sure they would be at home.

NATO cooperation? Gratitude for keeping the Soviets out of West Berlin? Because the Germans want them there?
