Privately for 11am, the Brits will organize a Remembrance Sunday
service in Milan, church and then a trip to the Milan War Cemetery.
17 Canadians who gave everything will be remembered on Sunday.

I'll go to that.

When in Rome........

How will I remember? I don't think I'll ever forget. Been watching the history channel all week except when they show Hollywood dreck ie; Private Ryan, U-571, We Were Soldiers etc etc... Thought they would have at least showed The Devil's Brigade. It might still be Hollywood but at least it's partly about Canadians.

And you can bet your asses I'll be watching Storming Juno more than a couple of times

I have to work to-day. But I will attend a service at work. I will remember my father, grandfather, uncles and nephew. And I laid wreaths last week-end when I went home. Lest we Forget!

Going to the annual ceremony at Old City Hall in downtown Toronto. I take this day off every year to attend. They took bullets and shrapnel for us, the least I can do for them is take this day off to pay my respects.

Last year, I also made this video:

 Lest we forget.

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army
