Tanks are (left) M41 Walker "Bulldog" and (right) M24 Chafee. The truck looks like a Chevy. Don't know squat about bikes or old cars though.

It's unusual because the Luxury Liner was a limosine or town car. The Army ordered the 1941 4-door sedan for the balance of the war. I don't know of any Luxury Liner in the Army and while this may have been a donation or etc. I am 99.9% certain that it is not an original military vehicle.

It's a 1941, but not a Dodge.

If you click on the photo, you can the full res I got with the camera.

That might help.

Yank armour's generally easy to figure out. From the M-26 Pershing, and on up, the US generally kept the same sort of chassis/wheel style which makes it not so difficult to identify . So're Russian and German too for the most part. The British stuff though, especially all that worthless pre-WW2 garbage they left behind at Dunkirk, now that hardware is hard to recognize sometimes.

Production of the civil 1942 Fleetmasters model was halted in 1942.
The Army took hold of all models in stock and ordered Chevrolet to build the Fleetmasters to military specs: no chrome, simplified dash and military style light switches.

OK, no more cars. :)

Well, it gets weirder.

The museum thinks it's a 1941 Cadillac.
http://www.warmuseums.net/French1stArmy ... tview.html

But, since they are Belgian, they cannot be trusted.

If you google Fleetmaster, a lot of the images don't look like that car.
Not even close.

However, if you google 1941 Buick, the grill looks closer,
but the body style is different.

So I'm inclined to agree with the Fleetmaster.

Next time, I'll crawl inside to make sure.
