US M53 self-propelled gun with 155mm howitzer. Tough one. Should have looked harder at the tracks because the track-pad connectors are classic American style from the M3 Lee all the way through to the M1 Abrams.

Good one, Xerx. Very frustrating. It's one of the few that hasn't been released as a model kit over the last ten years. [B-o]

I'll bet that this is the same gun.

Looks like it. Technically, the pic I posted is the M55, but according to Wiki, they're essentially the same beast.

It's British ... or of British design. I can tell that just by looking at her funnels, etc.

Big, Cruiser - Battle Cruiser sized with an airplane on a catapult.

I'm going to try HMS Belfast, or one of her sisters, like HMS Edinburgh (sunk in the North Sea while transporting Russian gold bullion from Murmansk).

Close. It's an Active-class scout cruiser. The HMS Amphion. She was the first ship in the Royal Navy to be lost in combat in the First World War.

While escorting convoy HX-156, the American destroyer U.S.S. Reuben James was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of 115 of 160 crewmen, including all officers. Although not the first U.S. Navy ship torpedoed before the war, the Reuben James was the first one lost.
