A documentary from the BBC being shown tonight and Nov 7 on the Knowledge Network.

http://www.knowledge.ca/program/the-first-world-war-from-above

For those who can't get it, YouTube series follows.

Quote:
The story of the Great War is told from a unique new aerial perspective. Using archive footage filmed from an airship in 1919, as well as aerial photographs taken by First World War pilots, this fascinating program shows not only the devastation inflicted, but human stories visible only from above.

Thanks for posting that Hyack PDT_Armataz_01_37 I love documentaries like this especially on WW I. Most of the existing documentaries re-use the same ol footage and cover the same ol topics. It's nice so see something new like this and I like the "from the air" view point that it covers.

The ending where the he shows the daughter of the pilot footage of her father was very touching. That was a great documentary and it was shown from a very interesting perspective.

BBC does some wonderful documentaries. Unlike the CBC it (the BBC) still gets funding and support. Just saying. XD

Excellent! It's so rare to see good quality video/photo from this period.
