Seems we got us some sweet tech! [B-o]

The pictures of the tail section of the crashed helicopter give it away - it's definitely stealth in design. I'm wondering if it's maybe a stealth version of the Blackhawk?

Could of been a gunship, commanche variant.

Good chance though Pakastani radars didn't blip for that helicopter.

Cool. And all the naysayers said the geeks couldn't reverse engineer the technology found at Roswell.

Gunships have a crew of two. These choppers carried a crew of four and then ten to twelve troops and the one chopper left flew out with as many as two dozen people aboard.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised . The Ruskies all ready have a stealth helicopter. Mind you their idea of stealth varies from ours a bit:

The Hind is also a troop transport combined with a gunship. The Comanche however was not a transport

Gunship could of been an escort, been there incase someone jumped in a vehicle and tried to speed off etc sort of thing.

If it was my mission I'd send a gunship along.

I like that we have these toys, they come in handy when we need to get boots on the grounds and have Delta force, SEALs when we need to make a point in a fairly clear manner.

Big deal how? I thought it was common knowledge the US was working on a stealthed transport helo since 2000? Regardless, probs a modified blackhawk, which as is actually has a very stealthy body profile. It's shaped like a giant teardrop.

I realize that our seals were a little busy with the mission at hand, but should'nt airstrikes have beeen called in to finish off the chopper and help keep our tech. from falling into the wrong hands?

The government has tried to spread the disinformation that this was just a highly modified Blackhawk, but the analysis of this thing is showing it's something else altogether. The skin is a ceramic, carbon-fiber composite and the rotor blades are asymmetrical - which is a massive achievement because symmetrical rotor blades are what creates that typical 'wop-wop-wop-wop' sound.

I'm looking at that picture and the aluminium looks too thick to be on an helicopter. Something is not adding up
