If I'm not mistaken does the rail gun also have the benefit of limited to zero recoil as well?

Sweet!

My understanding with one big problem with developing a deployable railgun was the huge amounts of power it needs to fire the projectile. Good to see they've worked through that problem.

No, it is still subject to Newtonian Law. It's just that the recoil is significantly reduced because all you're doing is accelerating a mass instead of accelerating a mass and moving tons of atmosphere with explosive gases.
