I'd go with Sad But True from their original stuff, but overall I like the cover version of Tuesday's Gone best, followed up by Whiskey In The Jar. The Memory Remains is also up ther for me.
original stuff??????
really
I'm with you on that one. I loved 'Enter Sandman', but the Black album was when Metallica died in my heart. "Nothing Else Matters" is a freaking love song! FAIL!
"One", "Green Hell", "For Whom the Bell Tolls". That's Metallica.

I was 12 years old when Black came out, so anything prior was a little before my time.
I remember hearing some of And Justice for All when I was really young, but Black was pretty much my intro to Metalica. And it's a great rock album, but if metal is your thing, I can see how it would have dissapointed.

Ha! I thought mysery was the love song. Yeah, they put out garbage and ran on their brand since then. Notice how no one mentions the recent shite.

And you know what's sad? The version of their last album that Metallica released for Guitar Hero sounds better than the actual album.

How about turn the page, even if it's a cover? I've always really liked that song.
And pretty much the entire S&M album was awesome.

Depends on what kind of music I'm in the mood for.

I really hope they steer clear of the newer crap at the upcoming gig...I only want to hear up to and including Justice...everything else is when I will get in the beer lineup, but then again what do I care I didnt pay for the tic

Covering tunes is the death knell for a band. It's like Guns and Roses if they released an album of Frank Sinatra cover tunes. lol It means they gave up, they have nothing left to offer, but they still need that new Ferrari.
Like Robair says, the Black album to St. WhinyBitch are good rock albums. Some people really liked them. I liked bits of them. But they aren't 'Metallica' albums.

Although, well, the ''early'' Metallica is still best.
Actually, as shown earlier.
The latest album has some, but here is good tune.
