ok so here's the deal.. i haven't been able to sleep without music since i was a kid but lately I'd been having dreams aboout the lyrics i'm hearing in my sleep and needless to say it can get pretty messed up and because of that I'm not getting a full nights sleep. so what i'm thinking is that if i start listening to classical music then i wont have that problem.. and i like classical music i just dont know that much of it.

oh i'd be ok with some pretty opera too..

so any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata makes for good bedtime music I've found. There's also Fur Elise by Beethoven.

Also try Suite Berasmasque - Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy.

For some more modern composers I would recommend adagio for String by Samuel Barber. Personally, the most relaxing classical I'm loving right now is Solo Piano by Philip Glass.

Here's a taste:

Not classical per se, but very relaxing is Zamfir-pan pipes. Available with limewire

I'd say lots of stuff from Vivaldi, but most starts off soft, and builds. Not good for sleeping.

"Canon for 3 Violins and a Cello" By Pachabel is good.

"Allegro Assai From Violin Concerto No 1 in A Minor " By J.S. Bach is nice as well.

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata would be right up there as #1 though.
