QBC posted a link a while back about the Big Hearts for Big Kids fundraiser that one of our local teens organized (and raised $60,000) for our local youth shelter.
I remember this girl from a surprise appearance she made at a Shania Twain concert about 8 years ago. She was sitting front row with a sign reading, "Shania, can I please sing with you?". God bless her, Shania obliged this little wee girl of about 9 years old and hauled her up on stage for her "big debut". The following morning that little girl's beaming face showed up on the front page of the Edmonton Sun. I always remembered that article.
10 years later, that little face grew up, was singing the anthems at our Storm games, and is now raising buckets of money for our youth shelter. Not bad for a girl who just turned 17. I'm not very easily impressed, but this little girl has managed to do so a few times now.
At the fundraiser, the born and raised Grande Prairie girl announced the release of her very first official video to kick off her debut album, which will be released in the spring. Tenille also wrote the song with the help of a couple of her artist friends.
"Pictures on a Crooked Wall"Good luck, Tenille
