Never the less.. Here in Canada where we live, we might not like the French Canadians ( ) but we respected them enough to let them have a referendom and voice their opinions. Sounds like Tibetans who do that get sent to prison camps or to the organ doner ward at the hospital.

officially, no
if you define democracy by the will of the majority, US elections
are not democratic. re 2000 Gore got more votes than Bush.

The system in the US actually provides that a vote from California is worth
more than from Maine or Alaska, based on the number of votes sent to the electoral
college.. as such, its not really democratic.



our "first past the post" system is more democratic whens it comes to electing
regional representatives.

but if you want to compare the US system to a one party, you must vote system
like China or Russia, it is far more 'democratic'

and free

and fair

and not rigged
