Perhaps I spent too much time living in Kentucky, but I love John Prine and Iris DeMent both. And RUZE, I guess I have heard of Billy Bob after all.

And one last one: I don't know if there are any live recordings of this. No one will ever hear this live again!
So, leaving the best for last.

Thanks, I've been looking for that S/R song for years now.

I saw The Answer at the Media Club in Vancouver the night before they opened for AC/DC. They were fucking fantastic....It will be the last time I see them in a small venue for sure. Total awesome dudes from Belfast, Ireland.

Trooper performing "Raise A Little Hell" at Grey Cup '97.

Trooper performing Canada's unofficial national anthem had the stadium rocking and the audience just lovin' it.

Another one of my favorites is Jackey Yoshikawa and the Blue Comets, who were a Japanese garage band from the early 60's. They made such an impact with hit after hit that they were asked to appear on the Ed Sullivan Show.

This clip was from many decades later (from what I was told) after one of their members took his own life rather than face the certainty that he would be totally blind for his remaining years.

At the time of this performance, they were one of Japan's national treasures. They could still prove, at an elderly age, they still had it. I think the audience agreed with them.

The audio is slightly out of synch.
