Muskrat Love

There's more than one version of this thing but I think the one I've heard is by Captain and Tenille.

Fuckin' awful! PDT_Armataz_01_27

Indelible Indelible:
smokin' in the boys room....

utterly retarded

Are you nuts???

It tells a tale to which the average listener can relate and is one of the last songs that deals with teenage rebellion: as joyful fact of life, rather than as a cause for morose angst.

Rock 'n' Roll was founded on the battle of adolescence vs authority, and few songs express it as the clearly belligerent but still righteous fight. Perhaps, if we had more of that old time religion, rock radio wouldn't be the wasteland it has become.

Still prefer Brownsville Stations original version of "Smokin'..." (it was on the first K-tel album I ever received as a gift). The Crue's version was passable, but their early anti-corporate-rockers stance was just silly.

Worst song ever....

Snoop Doggy Dog: Drop it like it's hot.

It's just so damn lame. Sounds like a song a kid from grade school would sing...in the 80's!!! Everytime i hear that song I think of Elmo dancing to hip hop.

Well songs become top 40 if they get enough radio play. It seems that there are lots of little record comapinies who can sell to a niche, the big ones tend to sell tot he masses and aren't as good as they were but are pretty good. It's just that they play songs on the radio which become top 40 and those songs just aren't as good they give intstant gratification but they don't last so you have to buy more.

Lonvin' you - Minnie Ripperton

lovin' you is easy cause you're beautiful
makin' love with you is all i wanna do
lovin' you is more than just a dream come true
and everything that i do is out of lovin' you
la la la la la la la... do do do do do

no one else can make me feel
the colors that you bring
stay with me while we grow old
and we will live each day in springtime
cause lovin' you has made my life so beautiful
and every day my life is filled with lovin' you

lovin' you i see your soul come shinin' through
and every time that we oooooh
i'm more in love with you
la la la la la la la... do do do do do

The damn thing is scary... And it's the stupidest lyrics of all time. One of those "la la la la la la la... do do do do do"'s lasts about a half an hour.

no better way to kill a good song than to play it on the radio

I just chanel surfed by Rod Stewart butchering "Blue Skys". That reminded be about how much that makes me cringe. So. the entire two albums of "Rod the Mod's" attemt to destroy american classic jazz standards. Oh Ya, and the third one that I am sure he will put out soon. I guess he is raking in the money over the last two and is too old to countinue to do his old act.

I should re-phrase. The songs are great classics but the interperatations of them are lame.

I know of no gentle way to put this,... so here goes,...

He's up to volume IV - aaaaagggghhhhhh ( See!).

As much as it pains me to hear him butcher some great music, the real pity is that people who might've warmed to this music, had it been presented by the original artists (or one of the many great covers), will now be permanently turned-off.

Here's a hint Mr. Stewart: once Ella has sung a song, it has reached perfection, it can never be improved upon, LEAVE IT ALONE!

O M G !!! THIS MADNESS MUST BE STOPPED!!!!!

Maybe he can find an other supermodel a third of his age to marry & a case of Viagra. Then he might find something to keep himself busy for an other few years until that one dumps his tired old ass. Then finally retire from singing!
