From CTV:
http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/ ... ntoNewHome

Quote:
TORONTO — Canada's convalescing economy may have topped Prime Minister Stephen Harper's agenda Wednesday, but anti-prorogation anger ended up hijacking his Toronto road show.

About 35 protesters from students to seniors picketed Harper's afternoon visit to the C.D. Howe Institute, chanting "Stop the prorogation, listen to the nation!"

35?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

That is all.

I hope so. How many people are on that Facebook group now? Like I said before, I'd rather those people march on parliment than sit behind their screens and kvetch.

Yea, perhaps like working in their constituency offices and working with the people on the ground?

Is Ignatieff even back from vacation yet?

Funny how so many lefties want the government to "get back to work" but when the Conservatives asked the opposition parties to extend parliament last year to get some bills completed, they all voted it down.

I bet every one of the 35 has Liberal connections.

This isn't the 'people' who are showing their distaste for prorogation, it's a purely partisan Liberal or 'we hate Steve' movement. Objectivity on this is zero.

Problem with FB groups is people join just because their friends have or they just want to be part of any group they get invited into, these things are very rarely an accurate depiction of public opinion. Yes these people should march on parliment rather than sit at their desks, but who setup the group and why don't they take the next step to organize the protest, if there are that many on the group it should be easy to lead the sheep.

Research suggests politicians and pundits should think twice before dismissing the 200,000-strong Facebook group

Research also suggest that 61% of Canadians don't care.

75 per cent of respondents believe the group “will make a difference”

100% of that 75% don't have a clue.

The prorogue card has been played too soon and too often. I don't get to take a break when I get a court summons nor do I get to take 6 weeks off work with pay when I feel like it and leave 35 bills dead on the floor.

This political move has a cost in popularity with the undecided who still think that the PM answers to parliament and not the other way around. The polls had the cons in striking range of a majority before this, now they are neck and neck with Iggy. Ignore at your own peril.
