While the Left Coast is still enjoying the highest gas prices in BC, we here in several areas of the Heartland are paying 10 to 11 cents less for ours. Two weeks ago, prior to the carbon tax add-on, I paid 1.19/L at the same time the granola-crunchers were dishing out 1.54/L or more. heh, heh, heh

One might think Rachel realizes that in the Conservative Heartland, we are in complete support of twinning the line. :lol:

Well that's what you get with BLACK or WHITE.
KM is as big an asshole outfit as people claim the protestors to be. Not one fucking thing has changed since Horgan LOST the court decision, yet this fuckhead company wants to pretend because they're not sucking their cock, they're continuing to obstruct them.
Fuck 'em.
I will not have some goddam corporate entity dictating political terms to the voters. If you can't do business cuz a handful of people are whining at the gates and an RCMP guard keeping them away just isn't good enough - fuck yourself.
Go hire the CIA to run a coup Venezuela for cheap oil like Noranda did to screw Dave Barrett. Or hire Russians, they're more subtle at least.

I hope Vancouver and Victoria end up spending $4.00 a litre for fuel for the rest of forever. I really like Rachel Notley as a person and I support most of what she attempted to do. But Alberta absolutely has to elect Jason Kenney as premier because we need to be on a war footing against BC from now on in. Anything we can do to hurt them back as much as they've just damaged us, starting with shutting off the transmission of ANY of their oil, natural gas, or electricity through our province. That is the minimum we have to do in retaliation.

As for the oilsands products now? Might as well double up a few already existing rail-lines, buy about 5000 tanker cars, and cut deals with Saskatchewan and Manitoba to ship it through Churchill; with climate change and Hudson Bay being effectively ice-free most of the year now we can at least use the north as a shipping passage. That's the only way we're going to free our products for export now if the big pipelines players have finally thrown up their hands in frustration and walked away.

Fuck BC and their hippie Green-y assholes. Fuck Quebec and their floating turds like Denis Coderre. And, most of all, fuck this stupid country and the dipshit Canadian attitude in general. :evil:

Kinder Morgan puts brakes on 'non-essential' Trans Mountain activities
Quote:
Kinder Morgan is suspending "non-essential activities" and related spending for the Trans Mountain pipeline project, citing ongoing opposition from the British Columbia government.

"In the current environment, we will not put [Kinder Morgan] shareholders at risk on the remaining project spend," Steve Kean, Kinder Morgan's chair and chief executive officer, said in a press release Sunday afternoon.

The company said it will, however, consult with stakeholders in an effort to reach agreements before May 31 that could allow the pipeline project to proceed.

Jason Kenney could become the next Premier of Alberta but there's no guarantee he could do any better than Rachel Notley because the Leftist Environment Hypocrites have won the public relations battle of how the oil sands and pipelines are evil because oil from OPEC and shipping it by rail is good.

Notley news conference on Kinder Morgan's suspension of work on Trans Mountain pipeline
Quote:
Kinder Morgan is suspending all non-essential activities and related spending on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project.

The company says its decision is based on the British Columbia government’s opposition to the project, which has been the focus of sustained protests.

Kinder Morgan says it will consult with “various stakeholders” to try and reach an agreement by May 31 that might allow the project to proceed.

The move will be seen as a blow to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has insisted that the pipeline would be built, despite the angry protests and the B.C. government’s continued battle against the project in the courts.

The expansion, which would triple the amount of oil flowing from Alberta to Burnaby, B.C., was approved by the federal government in 2016.

Albertans have been clear: Get this pipeline built.
And Albertans are right. This pipeline must be built.
Never count Alberta out. This pipeline will be built.

@RachelNotley
Tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars to the economy.
Better public schools. Better public hospitals. That’s what this pipeline means for us and for our country as a whole.

@RachelNotley
We have won a series of important and decisive legal victories. The courts threw out BC's last case without even hearing it. And I am confident we will continue to win.

@RachelNotley
We are also calling on the federal government to act in the defense of Alberta and working people in Western Canada in the way they have in the past for other parts of this country.
A federal approval of a project must be worth more than the paper it’s written on.

@RachelNotley
We will be bringing forward legislation giving our gov't the powers it needs to impose serious economic consequences on British Columbia if its government continues on its present course. Let me be absolutely clear, they cannot mess with Alberta.

@RachelNotley
If we have to, Alberta is prepared to do whatever it takes to get this pipeline built - including taking a public position in the pipeline. Put another way, Alberta is prepared to be an investor in the pipeline. This pipeline will be built.

There is no win to be had anymore but that's not the point. All that matters now is the harshest retaliation possible against our enemy.

BC, like Quebec, has two solitudes Thanos. The Interior of the province, for the most part, could not be more different politically from the Left Coast. And, unlike the Left Coast where they will whinge and whine whilst leaving mounds of garbage in their protest's wake, there are many of us who are quite willing to see Alberta do all they can to punish the pathetic excuse we have for a provincial government - knowing full well we too will pay the price.

Doesn't matter when the borders dictate the politics. And innocent people always get caught in the middle of wars. That's just the way it is.

Rachel Notley has declared War against BC and it might work.

The people who in Vancouver and surrounding areas live in their own bubble World where as Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and beyond are living in the real World and see the benefits of pipelines.

The Alberta government can't force a private corporation to proceed with a project that will cost them billions of dollars from delays and "legal" obstruction. This is just KM seeing the writing on the wall. The BC extremist left-wing won it all today. It's all done except for the residual anger that it's left behind it.

17 Liberal MP's from the Vancouver area alone.
4 Liberal MP's in all of Alberta.
Even a dunce like Trudeau is able to do simple math like that.

This is KM being straightforward C-U-N-T-S
The project is proceeding, Horgan's backed off, Notley's backed off, Trudeau's stressed the go ahead, but KM jumps in late with confrontational bullshit to fan the flames.
As for backing off on the non-essentials how much more wimpy can you be and still fan flames of discontent?
As for the 'thank God it's about Canada and not Trump', it sure seems most of you desire and enjoy a disruptive screaming fight and wish for nothing less than a NYAH NYAH - IN YER FACE - WE WON YOU L-O-S-E outcome so enjoyed by those down south.
As for Justin, it's time to act like his father and lock Notley, Horgan, himself and the KM board in a small room and lay down the law. Maybe drag Andrew Weaver in there to kick their frustrations out on as they work it out.

May BC long thrive on the guilt-free oil & gas from Trump's America and the Middle East countries where they set gays & women on fire. Bravo, just bravo, you good neighbours you.

Lay off the bullshit. KMs building it and playing you for dupes.
If the dumbasses down there are willing to pay $10/L for Alaskan oil as a result, that's their choice.
One bend in the pipeline and 50 miles south will bring it to Cherry Point Wash with terminals and huge refineries. Not like Trump would say no and crush Washington State's policies at the blink of an eye.

KM's spent over $1 billion out of $7.4 billion allocated for this project and see very little progress on it's construction thanks entirely due to the obstructions caused by BC. If this year's construction season gets lost in court tie-ups and other chicanery then KM will end the project to cut their losses. They aren't joking around just to make Trudeau look bad.

This is an ultimatum by real businessmen and real investors who've seen their stakes get ruined by Canadian and provincial political bullshit. This isn't a threat by KM, it's a promise - knock it off or the project is dead, period.

These self destructive province destroying imbiciles are the fucking problem not Trudeau, not Notley, not Horgan, not Alberta, not BC, not Trump, not Clinton, not the Irvings and certainly not the Saudi's.

We now have 3 Green MLA's who are calling the shot's for any expansion or continuation of BC and by extension Canada's oil industry just so some pantywaist socialist can keep his party in power because he didn't have a strong enough platform or was popular enough to gain a majority against one of the worst Premiers in BC history. :roll:

BTW this scenario is exactly why Weaver and crowd want proportional representation. He'll never win a majority but will always be able to be the king maker to whom the other more popular parties will have to seek out and bow to if they want to stay in power.
