Vote mob stages ‘surprise party’ for Harper
Quote:
It was not a protest, not a demonstration, but rather billed as a vote mob. Their message wasn’t delivered in anger, nor was it tied to any political party’s platform. The sight of them playfully singing, chanting and swaying, with much theatricality, caught the national media accompanying Harper off guard.

“What we have right here is a surprise party for Stephen Harper,” flash mob organizer Gracen Johnson told a number of reporters who wondered over in the rain to witness the mass spectacle. “We heard he was coming to Guelph and we wanted to throw him a surprise, because typically people don’t think that youth vote. We are definitely voting.”

A Conservative Party of Canada official approached them and indicated they were not welcome because of their involvement in an action that was perceived as a protest by party insiders. Dawson and Hirji tried to explain that it was not a protest and that they had registered to attend the campaign event, but the official could not be persuaded.

Harper campaign blasted as 'un-Canadian' after expulsion of non-supporters
Quote:
"I just think when you get to a situation where people can't come to a public meeting in Canada, and get thrown out by two heavies because they have a Facebook friend from another party, you're in a bad place,"

Wow. They've got better security checks at these things than they do at the PMO. Would Bruce Carson still be okay if he had his picture taken with Iggy?

Curt, the trick is to get these 'motivated' voters to the polls. Good luck with that mate!

Women ejected from Harper rally a Conservative social media stumble, experts say
Quote:
An official claimed to have learned via Facebook that the pair had links to the Liberals, likely referring to a photo with Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff rally that's on one of the women's profile page, the London Free Press reported.

Don't you at least think it's strange that they are using sign-ins at rally's to do background checks on attendees Facebook pages? Why would they care if someone who attended a Liberal rally attended theirs? Isn't that the point of the thing? Or are they so afraid the Liberals will find out the secret campaign ingredients, that it's just not worth it.

Over zealous staffers, nothing to do with Harper himself or party policy. Too bad as it just gives more ammunition to those suffering HDR (Harper derangement syndrome)  Another good reason not to use facebooks too.

“NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.”

I tell you what, if Iggy wasn't looking to drop another Decade of Darkness on the Forces to pay for some of his ridiculous programs, I'd be tempted to vote Liberal just out of protest to the stupidity and thuggery of some of the CPC goons and Harper advisers. The fact that Harper listens to these advisor's makes him as retarded as they though.

Don't be fooled by the antics from the left.

They'd love you to beleive that this was just some innocent girl, looking to make her "choice".

Bullshit.

Political parties from all directions use tactic like these to send people in to public meetings. Screening isn't new, nor i

Screening? Nobody asked me who I was when I went to see Iggy at The Franco-Manitobain Cultural Centre. There were microphones where you could walk up and ask a question.

Right. You are now suggesting that the right uses no antics. Cue partisan hackery rebuttal...

“First you must find... another shrubbery! Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must place it here, beside this shrubbery, only slightly higher so you get a two layer effect with a little path running down the middle. Then, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest... with... a herring!”
