As far as the cons go if they want to keep handing the Lieberals victories then by all means keep Harper but lets face it; he is Canada's Al Gore.....boring with no political skill at all. Once the Tories figure this out they will make the Lieberals worry for a change. Hell if they got John Tory as leader I would vote for them, but I doubt that will happen.

Well, I am a Liberal. I do believe that the only other party capable of governing Canada would be the conservatives but they need to understand why they are not winning and address it. They had a great chance to combine with the liberals and deny everything the bloc & NDP wanted without any possible way for them to stop it. They could have easily given up some concessions in order to get some and instead wound up with nothing. Giving the conservatives conscessons would have gone a long way to appeasing the west. That and scrap that useless gun registry.

Frist off I feel we are not bullies, if we were I would sure hope that we would be controling more of the world. Talk softly and carry a big stick. Thats what the USA does.

Of course they say we deserve it. I could care less that they say that. If I was in their shoes I would most likly feel the same. But I am not so shame on them when we bomb them. But what I am starting to notice is that many canadians feel we deserve it also. Thats sad! Why do we deserve it cause we support the only democracy in the middle east?

Actually, last I checked, they messed with little ole Kuwait (after getting what appeared to be tacit approval from the US ambassador to Iraq), and then Bush Sr got pissed and decided to kick their ass.

Then their country got carved up by the West and isolated and embargoed to hell. Then, every few years after Desert Storm ended, the Americans and British decided to bomb his bases and fire missiles at Iraq to distract their electorate from domestic issues.

After 9/11, Dubya links Iraq to 9/11, even though there was absolutely NO proof that he had anything to do with it. Then THEY invade Iraq without UN support and wind up in the current mess they have now.

I wonder how indignant Americans would be if something similar happened to the USA.

Frist off the UN has become a podium for Crackpot leaders and inefectiual European countries. So who cares about the UN. The French can have it if they want.

If the USA was under a regieme like Sadam I would hope the American people would stand up a rebel not needing another country to come clean up our mess. So maybe you should think about how it feels to live under a dictatorship frist.
