Wow I came to this forum site to express concern for real Canadian culture, not just Quebec culture, Canada was built on equal rights for all, forcing elementary school children to speak a certain language outside of the classroom is against Canadian Culture, which in my opinion should come before Quebec culture.

What I have realized after my short time here, is this place is filled with stubborn jackass's that when they dont have anything constructive to add to a conversation they resort to personal attacks. Have fun playing with yourselves Im out

Danny, it would appear, from your post, that you are currently living in Quebec. If so, then it probably would be good for you to respect the local ''culture'' perhaps. By that, I do not mean our local artists and other idiot TV personalities, but instead the language amongst other things.

IMO, a language should not be forced upon anyone, and rightly so, for that would be dictatorship. Not the Quebec Government but only the bad Federal Canadian Conservatives appear to imply dictatorship, at least that's the consensus amongst many leftists on this site.

Seriously though, immigrants and Anglos should instead at least respect and adapt to the local ''values'' and that means try to learn French. Anglos and French should learn to co-exist, that goes for both sides.
