I've been watching CTV Power Play and CBC Power & Politics everyday along with most of the leaders press conferences and Ignatieff town halls.

The more I watch Ignatieff speak the more I like him, I think there is no doubt he's running a better campaign at this point.

Everyday I feel more like Harper is going down. I have a much higher optimism about the outcome of the election than last week.

I'd have to admit that I think you're right. If Harper thinks he can just coast a long and win by default he's made a terrible mistake.

As long as Iggy can keep Harper from a majority I'm happy.

Though I admit Iggy's running a decent campaign right now, nothing's going to change in long run. Assuming the Liberals make a minority (which is optimistic at best) he will make promises and subsequently break them like his predecessors. Quebec will continue to whine about not getting enough in transfer payments, the West will continue to feel alienated, and this country will remain a fragmented and partisan mess.

Iggy and Steve. Different parties, same butthead pandering to the masses.
