anyone can make it in this country anyone.

The problem with you ManiDream is that you are just far too blind.

You are far too addicted to "The American Dream". Some people are born into situations where they can not "make it". Poor. Outcasted, and all their life's decisions made when they are too young to actually do something to fix their lives. Not everyone was raised in the rich neighbourhood like you, ManifestDaydream.

The poorer you are in America, the less help you get.

And you are pissing on them all.

ManifestDestiny simply doesn't know what a destiny is.

Well it is certainly sad when a Canadian cares more about your fellow Americans than one of their own countrymen.

We can ship them up there if you want them then we will see how much you like them.

You guys cant even treat a couple of natives properly and you want to point fingers at me. You should worry more about your own people then ours.

Ahahahahahhahah!

Well here's the thing, ManifestDaydream...

Our Natives get Healthcare. And compensation. And a lot more.

I'm starting to think you put me on ignore, How cute.

I guess that's what people do nowadays when faced with their own harsh reality.

You are Anti-American, ManifestDestiny.

well I do as many others do care about the issues in Canada, this is a far from perfect country, but socially we are far more progressive and compassionate than you can even fathom.

so your answer is to ship out AMERICAN CITIZENS that cant afford healthcare and/or live in poverty?....Wow do us all the favour and hold your breath for that humanitarian award you so deserve

Laziness on Sunday is a religious obligation for most North Americans: Canadians, Americans and Mexicans alike.

I don't even know what to say to you man.

I know you are just joking us all with your absolutely useless posts... but honestly, What's the friggin' point?

Ask to your parents why everything used to be closed on Sunday.

I know why everything is closed on Sunday. Sabbath and such. In some provinces, businesses are allowed to be open. Ontario had something know was the "Lord's Day Act", and it was rendered unconstitutional and businesses were legally able to be open on Sundays.

In Alberta though, many places still close because an Act we have doesn't have anything to do with religion and it's constitutional, as businesses are closed so workers "have time to spend with their families".

It's just an obvious point that wasn't really needed to be made,

If only hospitals were allowed to open on Sunday, the shortage of nurses and physicians would not be as acute as it is now because people wanting to earn money by working 7 days a week would have no alternatives but to work for sick persons.

I suppose. But regardless, we need more nurses and doctors no matter what day of the week they work.

I think it's rather medieval that many health-oriented locations are closed ANY day of the week.

We don't need everything to be open at all time, rather.

Why not? It would increase productivity, wealth, and other such things.

What better way to help get rid of wait times then to... Have more time?

Logically when there are shortages, you have to establish priorities.

Well yes, obviously we need to push for more Canadians to get into the health profession, and somehow slow down the Canadian doctors fleeing Canada for higher pay in the USA.

Yeah everyone except multi millionares in Canada have the same crappy care.

No I guess they can go to the USA, Mexico, Australia, where ever they desire to get medical or an operation.

Well rehabilitation from a coronary artery bypass on the shores of the Bahamas sound good to me too.

So what is your point, the same goes for your multi-millionares.

ManifestDestiny wrote:
Did you ever question why all of your super rich come to the US for healthcare?

Sure maybe for a face lift, tummy tuck or other plastic or cosmetic surgery.

But I was not aware that Canada's super rich necessarily go to the United States for major sugery, or health care??

Can you provide some examples??

And just so everyone knows this I work hard for my money and I am not ashamed that I can afford very good health insurance for me and my family and my employee's and their families. I pay $90 a month for my health insurance. I am not sure where the idea of Free Health in Canada came from anyhow.

Alberta Health Care and Blue Cross are what I pay for.

The only difference is our health insurance is regulated by the Province you live in. Some get paid through your employer, others (if you can't afford it) are free and mine comes right out of my pocket.

Similar to the Massachusetts health care system NOW.

Sure when I lived in the USA for 14 years I had UniCare Life, Health & Dental Insurance.

Personally, I think most U.S. Health Insurance providers are far to costly for what you get. Still have to pay $30 copays and $3000 deductibles on major operations.. none of that here in Canada.

Of course they are in the business of making money, and far to often money out weights the cost of lives.

Teen Dies After CIGNA Denies Liver Transplant

Patient's Insurance Canceled Hours Before Life-Saving Brain Operation

Medicare Denies Our Legitimate Claim

Thanks, but I'm o.k. with a couple of hours wait as the most seriously sick are delt with fist.

Image Canada! Best FREE Health Care I pay $90 a month for. XD

We need to avoid wars; the passing of the baby-boom generation is ultimately the end-result of the Second World War.
