My dad's from Beauly, near Inverness and mom's from Methil, East Fife. The pie-throwing incident was at Tynecastle in Edinburgh (Hearts and Hibs is a mini-version of the Protestant-Catholic old-firm rivalry of Glasgow) Wow, my dad grew up in Cowdenbeath, although his family had moved there from Anstruther. He came to Hamilton in the late '20's

They walked to the Bulldog Club (the junior ranks club) from transit accom, about 2 klicks, with kilts, Regimental and -30 C. Chilly willies. They wore jeans the next night! Jeans don't do much for ya at -30! Add a stiff wind and your going to have frozen knee caps

From the knees up, I'd take a kilt of pleated wool over denim anyday. Your lower legs could get cold when it's REALLY cold out, but the package stays plenty comfy under the wool.

Useful for many occasions: And all this from a lad who has never had one on! I have, however, worn jeans at -40 and can attest to the stupidity of that!

Ever noticed the changes in shopping mall food courts over the past 20 years? 20 years ago, there'd be a KFC, 10 different burger/fry joints, a Mr. Sub, a pizza place and a crappy Chinese food place. Now, there's one burger joint and 10 different Asian choices. One negative impact of multi-culturalism is the proliferation of bad Asian food at the mall. It's made the lineups at the A&W almost unbearable. Despite my love of Japanese food, I just couldn't work up the nerve to try pre-fabbed sushi served in a plastic container. It looked as bad as any highschool cafeteria fare. what is so crappy about cooked food from asian restaurants? you actually prefered filth from subways and fast food joints like wendys and MacDonald that treat employees like crap, and always hiring because of high turnover rates? ? A&W is garbage i can't understand why people eating that crap. we need more cooked food in food courts

Before multiculturalism Canada had to worry about Russia, The USA, Denmark, and etc. encroaching on Canada's territory and violating her borders and now they all utterly respect Canadian sovereignty.

No, I don't prefer it. It's shit too. ShintoMale wrote: A&W is garbage i can't understand why people eating that crap.
I don't understand "why people eating that crap" either. But you totally misunderstood my post. I was commenting on the changing demographics of Canada, reflected in the mall food-court choices. I don't prefer ANY of the shitty food in the food court, whether Asian or North American.
