Yes, but people who are liberal (however you wish to define it) are increasingly intolerant of viewpoints other than their own. This used to be a trait associated with the right, but it is no longer their exclusive domain.[/quote]
Damn right I'm intolerant of people who preach hate, war and homophobia. People who don't support equal rights across the board, people who mix religious rubbish with politics. Ofcourse I'm intolerant of these things. We're in the 21st century, Welcome/Bienvenue!
Here's an example:
WRONG: I'm intolerant to people who want to spread war and believe in world domination. Iraq, for example, was not legal and I won't stand for this. That war effectively murdered tens, if not hundreds of thousands of CHILDREN.
WRONG: I'm intolerant if the cons want to outright ban same-sex marriage, it goes against equal rights everyone should be entitled to. (To those religious-right/rednecks/ignorants, don't even start connecting this with incest or the like).
RIGHT: I'm not intolerant if someone believes mixing private and public healthcare. They obviously see some benefits.. that's their choices and I accept that.
