Yeah, Iggy's done...he's committed political suicide. Where could he go? He drew a line that he couldn't cross and became a bigger joke than Dion did. They were in no position to bring down the government and the coalition, as toxic as it was, was the only thing they could do.

It's pathetic what novices Dion and Iggy have been. It pisses me off that a minority government runs like a majority because the Liberals have absolutely no testicles in sight.
I don't know what the Liberals are going to do to fix themselves (hopefully it won't be a decade+ trial of Uniting the Left), but something tells me they need a really loud person who at least can act like he knows what he is doing.
Instead of these clowns with elect-ile dysfunction.

You can never say 'never' in politics. I'll believe he's done when he quits, until then I won't count him out.

Yeah, Iggy's done...he's committed political suicide. No policy? kenmore has seen it. the full platform he claims. Apparently, Iggy only showed it to him.

Thought this was funny: Quote: Ignatieff's "To Do List" by Gerry Nicholls - 24/11/2009 Using the Access to Information Act, I managed to get a hold of this key political document:
Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff’s “To Do List”
- “De-friend” Janine Krieber from Facebook
- Memorize names of my new staff members
- Renew VISA for working in the United States
- Take piano/singing lessons
- See doctor about mysterious knife-like wounds in my back
- Ask Warren Kinsella when “ass kicking” will begin.
- Tell aide to stop showing me those blasted poll results
- Hire a new pollster
- Find out why Bob Rae is measuring curtains in my office
- Remind myself why I wanted this job.

Michael Ignatieff was imported as a world class intellectual. In an other light he was an unknown American professor with French. He did not have much to offer beyond being “very intelligent”. Here’s a list of his political short comings.
-No cabinet or leadership experience -No political vision beyond just wanting to be Prime Minister -Not Canadian, not deeply versed in the political files. -No political base (Trudeau held on only because he had the Quebec vote) -Not deeply connected with the Liberal Party and Canadian establishment. -An unknown, many Canadians still can’t remember his name. -No policy ideas. -Not economically strong in times of a deficit. -Not a good public speaker or media performer -Not good at communication, this is a bit vague here but the caucus is still at odds with their leader. -No emotion or real compassion about Canada’s situation.
In addition the Liberals have some baggage. There is still plenty of resentment of them around. They are considered a taxing party in times of a problem with the deficit. And Canada is split up into provincial voting blocks which have to be overcome at this time. That is Alberta and Quebec vote as a block and it’s not Liberal.
Ignatieff’s promise was that of smart government as he was intelligent in the Trudeau mold. Over the last year he’s sort of blown that and shown himself to have lame political judgement. One media comment is “my pet cat has better judgement of what the issues that matter to the people are”. He’s sort of blown his cover and doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

Maybe all of you should open your eyes, and see how active he is right now. He is doing great in the polls, and he is heavily supported by core liberals. He is in it to win it.

Welcome to the forum, Mr Ignatieff. I almost read one of your books and I liked what you said about Iraq and George Bush. Some of those other ones are way too dull.

I'd definately like to hear more from Duykur, along with a IP check. That was the most flakey first post I think we've ever seen here.

I'm hearing from people I talk to that Iggy still has a chance, that he's on probation. Some sense about the world becoming a malestrom going forward, the recession in Canada and the fact jobs have backslid for 30 years are the questions.
The point being Harper is not dealing with these realities, has no idea and is a one man show. His tax cut mojo precludes saying anything.
