Let's face it, cons.

Harper is losing the next election, and cons will be back to 70 seats.

Harper will have to resign.

Are you cons thinking seriously about who the next con man will be?

Share your thoughts with us. We liberals love to help you decide!

Okay what is a con? Why do people calling them a "cons"? Who came up with this? If you want a nickname I think Tory is what you are looking for.

Nope sorry, Tory was the nickname for the old Progressive Conservative party. Con is the rather obvious contraction of Conservative Party, which is the current name of the party, much like Lib would be for the Liberals.

Of course the media describes them as Tories every day.

First off, if anyone deserve the nickname "Cons" it has to be the Liberals. After all, it was them that got caught with their hands in the cookie jar wasn't it?

Secondly....I work at the local Conservative office as a volunteer and have done so for the last four elections. This time around I'm seeign a lot more people walking in through the door buying memberships. If the Tories are so unpopular, why is this happening. We are also getting simular reports all across Canada. Fact is, most people said Harper doesn't have the evil agenda the Liberals preclaimed he had. With the Liberals now known to have lied tothe very people they served, many people are not goign to buy into the evil empire crap and are waiting for the Liberals Leadership to come clean on their theft ring. The fact that new information about Chretien guiding Dion now out and public, well that just makes many soft Liberals nervous and many are heading to the Conservative party. I have been payign attention to the latest polls and they do say the Liberals are gaining strength, but its the regions these polls are being done in that truly tells the stories. So, well I sincerly think you mean well in your dribble of information, reality actually says otherwise.

May i suggest you pay attention to the polls over the next 3 months. Many things are about to happen that will upset the Liberal lie-a-thon. Mr. Dion is after all a proven sepratist. What better enemy to have than one who's proven themselves untrustworthy. Throw in a party that has picked the publics pockets and all you have is one hell of a good story to tell the public during an election. This is after all, war. :)

The first party in Canada was the Conservative Party or Liberal-Conservative as it was known then became just Conservative. PC came after but both were still called Tories and by merging PC with Alliance the Tory element is inherited so should apply. It is just a nickname that came from Britain I think. Their Conservative Party members are called Tories as well. Con sounds stupid to me or maybe it is more against them by saying "con" like they are convicts or against people. I never heard anyone call liberal party members “libs” they are called grits. The BQ I guess are just separatists and the NDP I’m not sure if they have a nickname?

We don't need to look for a new leader, Harper has done a fine job as the leading man and deserves the job.

The better question would be....

Now that the Liberals have lost their main plan of attack against Harper, that of him being "scary", what can they use to scare Canadians?

Please enlighten us with what the Liberals strategy will be come the next election.

Keep in mind, that when you decide what strategy you'll use, keep in mind how it'll reflect back on the Liberal party and avoid being hypocritical.

Well as a former Liberal who is fed up with the Liberal Party and it's extreme left leaning view you do not further the party cause piggy you harm it. It's zealots like you who are blinded by party loyalty that you turn off the Moderate Liberals, perhaps it's time the Liberal Party fractured and formed a new party independant from the Socialist and their agenda. The Liberal Party turned Canada into a welfare nation, yet poverty, homelessness, crime, mentally ill lack care and obesity is rampart. Why, because the public thinks the Government should solve all their problems, and they are to weak lame and lazy to get off their large asses and do something for themselves. This is nothing to brag about, other countries mock us for our meekness and inability to think for ourselves as a society. I'm not a fan of Harper but because of the Liberals and their policies I'll never vote for that party again, it will take the Cons years to undo the damage the Liberals have done. I'm sick of elections, and the general public is going to be pissed of royally when another one is called. I hope the Cons use the fact that the Liberals and Bloc are the ones wasting the tax payers dollars again (by forcing another election) as per nom for these parties of uselessness and strife. Extreme Liberals, you lost get over it already, the sky isn't going to fall in because there are to many Canadians who sit on their ass receiving welfare the sky will land saftly on these lard asses.
