There are too many idealists out there living in ivory towers looking at the world through rose tinted glasses. We need more realists, as we don't live in an ideal world, we live in the real world. In the last 30 years, most of the world's conflicts major and minor (even prior to George II) were the result of Moslems not being able to get along with their neighbours. Whether they were Jew, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist or Sunni Moslem against Shiite Moslem there was always conflict. How can we say that these recent attacks are isolated incidents, the result of a few nutbars who aren't represenative of the Moslem community? Wahabism, a major export of the Saudis is spreading like a wild fire within the Islamic World and this idealology is the driving force behind the terrorists.

I thought that it was an interesting read Avro - it's good to hear from the "other" wing of Islam, even though it's just one guy's opinion. I'm sure that quite a few Muslims would agree with him.
