Why can't we have national referendums on assisted suicide, how medical marijuana should be distributed, legalization of marijuana ( f the united states this time), safe injection sites and if polygamy should be legalized? isn't this our country?

Not when the said issues aren't* deemed important. They have much bigger fish to fry.

Yep. Education seems to be more important too.


Education is fine, we're always in the top tier on tests in the world
I say we just leave it as is

Seems reasonable to me.

Issues on spending are different, because people will vote to spend but not to tax.
