We can do better but we're not telling you how we can do better?

For some that would take more than a 60 sec. tv spot, eh! Give it time. [B-o]

Not buying it Wada. A 5 second line could give us some concrete example of how Iggy is going to do things better. It speaks volumes to me that he said nothing on this video.

The problem for Iggy is that the Tories are as middle of the road (politically) as he is.
If the Libs criticise anything, Harper acts on the criticism and steals their thunder.

It's an evil strategy, stealing Liberal opposition ideas while you are in government. EVIL!

Scape, you're talking about healthcare very specifically. I was talking about general economic properties of administrative costs that come with adding social programs.

Healthcare in Canada is of such size that it has gains from economies of scale. Certainly not all social programs benefit such a wide demographic that such an effect would be as notable.

The point I was making is that if you tax a population $10B for some project, you're going to have to hire government employees (often with pensions) to plan and execute the plan. You will be taking $10B out but you will not be putting as much as $10B of productivity back in. For each bureaucrat, that is one less producer.

The example of healthcare doesn't negate this at all. The point about healthcare often made is that it's easier to sign everybody up to healthcare (because everybody uses it to some degree) and take advantage of economies of scale. That point isn't really what I'm talking about. It's related, sure, but it narrowly misses what I'm discussing specifically.

When do you and the rest of the Liberals plan to let Canadians in on Iggy's platform?

I'd never be a good politician. I'd probably put out an ad that said:
"Do you know how much they paid me to work outside Canada? You think I'd be a better Canadian if I hadn't gone? No, I'd be a better retard, not a better Canadian."

Or are we all gonna criticize half of Hollywood if they decide to come home when they retire?

I won't be criticizing them unless they start coming back, running for PM and telling me what's best for Canada.

As for Iggy's message that we can do better. I have to agree. We can do WAYYYY better than him.
