http://www.liberal.ca/en/blog/16277_watch-the-ads

I like the ads. I like the format and I'm glad the Liberals decided to run with this format, however....

The first words out of Ignatieff's mouth in "Worldview"....

"Where ever I've worked".

Ouch, couldn't they have just skipped that part to avoid the "just visiting" connotation that comes with "where ever I've worked"? Poor choice of words.

And for 2 million, surely they could have used a tri-pod.

He also mentions that during his travels he has met the best Canada has to offer. What does that say for those of us that stayed in Canada? I guess were second best.

We’ve had enough of Mr. Harper’s spin and deceit. Now is the time to put Canada on the path to prosperity. It’s time for change—because we can do better.

NOUS MÉRITONS MIEUX !

Spin and deceit yet Iggy has two different messages. One for Quebec and another for the rest of us.

He is saying that the policies of harper have driven professionals and academics and research scientists to leave this country for places that respect their worth.. harper doesn't and we are lagging behind in lots of research and development because the harper regime has their heads up their ass.

Yeah, I caught that too. Out of a few languages, french is the one I know the least, so I couldn't really keep up with what was said. It was definately more politicized though.

What rock did you crawl out.. the messages are the same .. heir harpers speeches and messages for Québec are different from what his messages are for English Canada because Québec has ( probably you don't know) french as the language of the province. The message is the same, but some things are not a direct translation.
You give me one party that doesn't alter the message for les Québeois(e).
Take some french lessons will you!

Okay then, if you are an academic living outside of Canada, you are better than the ones that live in Canada. You can spin this till the cows comes home, the message is the same.

The choice ahead is clear. We can choose a small Canada—a diminished, mean, and petty country. A Canada that lets down its citizens at home and fails them abroad. A Canada that’s absent on the world stage.

That’s Stephen Harper’s Canada.

Or we can choose a big Canada. A Canada that is generous and open. A Canada that inspires. That leads the world by example. That makes us all proud.

That’s our Canada.... In both English and Quécois his message is the same.. with harper we are an embarassment on the world stage, losing respect and dignity. harper has shit all over the people of eastern Canada, l'Ontario,Québec,Nouveau-Brunswick,Nouvelle-Écosse et Terre Neuve-et-Labrador. So I can see the people of these provinces telling Czar harper to take a flying f...

I don't want the government that taxes me to be generous. I want it to be frugal, cheap, uninterested in spending money. I want it to leave individuals to rule their own destiny.

I must be missing something. If you take away 3 cities, the Liberals have pretty much zero support. They would have about 10 seats. This seems "small" to me. Conservatives have about half the support in Ontario and a massive majority of support in the West. The last time the Liberals were in power, Quebec and the West were threatening to seperate from the rest of Canada. So much for the Liberals bringing Canada together. If anything, they tear Canada apart.

That's a really interesting angle. I was just wondering why the "worldview" one was done on a green screen and why it ends with the flag of Indonesia.
