Make little sense as far as I can make out. I'm a small "p" pol and follow the media some but not a lot. I don't really know what goes into electing a leader but I see they all campaign without making promises - which is the Party's perogative. So they campaign on experience, position in the political spectrum and some key issues. In the mix are unquatifiables like change and vote for an outsider. In Canada the political parties let anyone that wants to join the party just in time for the leader election, so they are essentially elected by political nobodies instead of party faithful. That it works at all is a miracle. I've got all that about right, no?
