Did it already happen since 1867 that the governor general , a lieutenant-governor or the Senate blocked a legislation?
Someone knows ?
I know the Senate has blocked a fair number of bills. Mostly ones which wanted to make changes to the Senate.

Is there anyone in Canada who would care if we abolished the senate? Is there any actual use of having them?

Not unless some serious changes are made to the Senate ie. they actually have to be elected or each province/territory gets an equal voice in the Senate.

I doubt the Senate would pass a law banning itself.
