I don't think doctors are paid too much. GM dealerships here in Toronto sometimes charge over $100 an hour. That's not much less than what the Ontario government gives doctors. Doctors should be paid well.

After 7-10 years of med school just to start anyone with a "Dr." in front of their name deserves a fuckign good salary.

Good to see you're up past your bed time again with another pointless post. No one said they shouldn't be paid well. He is saying that they should be paid better then they are. I figured you would have been all over this like dog shit on a sneaker.

How are you going to bill someone who has taken citizenship in another country? Wow, how fast do you throw someone a citizenship these days. Last time I heard, it was 5 years of residence in the US to qualify.

And a doctor wouldn't be too hard to find in the US, since they would have to register. But as the article I posted shows, Canadian trained doctors leaving for greener pastures down south seem to be over with.

Table 1. Standardized Comparison of Medical Specialties, in U.S. Dollars
Specialty US Average Salary Canada Average Salary (n/1.212) Family Medicine $164,952 $167,064 Int. Medicine $170,889/ $169,450 (hospitalist) $248,721 Ob/Gyn $253,160 $261,412 Gen. Surgery $278,433 $247,375 Anesthesia $309,019 $205,441 Urology $317,778 $279,982
In general, the income differences between U.S. and Canadian physicians are not vast. Subspecialists do make less money in Canada, although they are still earning high salaries; additionally, primary care physicians are actually making more money in Canada than in the U.S., a force that might help cut down on this country’s current shortage of primary care doctors.

The $167k seems high. However given what other government employees make I won't complain.
I have never seen these numbers before, as they are difficult to collect. They are private information and all I've see before is what the government pays to the whole office, to the Doctor's bill.

Then again, the best option is to move to Cuba, gain citizenship there, then sail to Florida. No wait at all. I also hope that the next handing out of gears comes in the form of a humourous television segment.
