Seem to me there has been a fault of information of why the opposition leader Harper would be interested in going to the States to talk with Bush. What were they talking about?? Where's the media on this one? The headlines? So Canadian taxpayers pay for the head of opposition to go and speak to a foreign representative of an imperialist expansionist country and no one utters a question of WHY? WHAT? HOWCOME? WHERE? Canadians must be asleep!!

"What's he building
In there... I'll tell you one thing
He's not building a playhouse for
The children
what's he building
In there?"
Political references by Tom Wait's & infered by me.

The way this country votes, and you're just figuring this out.

And at least one of our leaders can go and speak with the commander of the free world, we all know that the PM doesn’t get invited to the Whitehouse. Just put yourself in Bush's shoes would you invite Martin to the Whitehouse, you'd have to glue everything down (he might just steal it).

Maybe they were talking about all the known terrorists that Canada has living here?

"Commander of the free world"? You have got to be kidding me.

When it is considered unusual for a prospective future leader of this country (almost certain as soon as the extent of the Liberal party's thievery is exposed), it's a pretty sad day for Canada.
Furthermore, "imperialist expansionist country"? Wake up and smell the maple nut crunch.

You complain about Stephen Harper visiting Bush, but I suppose you'd have no problem with Trudeau's former relationship with Castro?

He's the leader of a major political force of half of the greatest international partnership in the world. I think his visit is more than necesary.

It's a cold war reference Patrick, deal with it.

It's become the ultimate cold war cliche.

Furthermore, judging from the "expansionist imperialist country" bit, I would almost GUARANTEE you this guy would have favored Trudeau meeting Castro.

It's a little thing called "partisanship". It doesn't matter that Castro runs an oppressive police state where he routinely rounds up his political opponents, it only matters that he's an alleged "left-wing leader" (which, in actuality, he isn't).
As objectionable a character as Bush is, Castro is worse.

You can put PET in that column too. I think he's tied with Castro.

Stephen Harper and Bush.........what did they talk about???

Haper states,".. Oh really Mr. President.. no I couldn't.. no I'm sorry that is out of the question"...Bush replies.."this isn't a unilateral trade deal.. it has to work both ways".... Harper -- " but you just don't see it from my viewpoint.." Bush.--" And exactly how is that?.. Harper "It has to and can only be.... My nose and your ass......"
