now I'm not one to focus on the superficialities of appearance but Steven Harper's hair bugs me. I remember for the Leader's Debate during the 2004 campaign he had his hair styled and it did wonders, he looked like a Prime Minister. I found a pic albeit a small one of that occasion...

Anyway the next time I saw him his hair was back to the same geeky lifeless toupe look. I'm telling you if he puts a bit of gel in his hair for the campaign he'll be the next PM, it'll totally highlight the age difference between him and Martin and counteract his dowdy reputation.

I already mentioned this in another post.

Is Stephen Harper for real with that hair do? It looks like he trys to make it look like a wig. I know thats a trivial thing to worry about in a politician, but maybe a professional stylist would help. Maybe Jack Layton could steal his wig so he'd have some hair.

Wouldn't it be great if Queer Eye for the Straight Guy could ambush him? Who knows, Stephen might even develop a personality. Or would that be a bad thing in a politician?

Maybe Stephen Harper does seem a bit like a robot, but personally, I think Paul Martin looks a lot like a Mole. 8)

It's like if you spook him, he'll escape by digging a hole to China.

What kills me is that Martin was portraying himself as a member of the "younger" generation. Remember him and Bono?
I agree that Harper has to lose the robot image, if he wants to have a hope in hell of winning an election. Removing the foot from his mouth would help too. Great move, calling the East Coasters lazy.
