The 71st anniversary of the Great Victory. We remember, we feel proud.

One of the main events of 2015 appeared to become the celebration of the anniversary of epoch-making event - the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day. The most large-scale celebration of the Victory Day had taken place in Russia. On the threshold of the great holiday the most cynical opinions had been heard from Europe, which was crossed by fascist forces for several months.
But we should admit that the rhetoric of the Ukrainian and Polish politicians differed from the others by the extreme irreconcilability in this concert.
Let's recollect the silly declarations of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who said that "during the Second World War the USSR invaded the Ukrain and Germany". Also Grzegorz Schetyna came to know that the concentration camp Oswiecim had been set free by Ukrainian soldiers only. By the USA instructions everything was done to diminish the role of the soviet people in the gaining a victory over the fascists. A real informational war against the whole orthodox Slavonic world was conducted, the aim of which was to create the world opinion that in fact these were Washington and London who had won the victory over Berlin in that historical war.
The 9th of May 2015 had gone - the clamour stopped. The political career of the politicians, making such silly declarations, is quite doubtful today as well as the career of their benefactors Barack Obama and Angela Merkel. But it is not under discussion now... Let God be their judge!
On the threshold of the great holiday we would like to bow down to the ground to all the participants of war against the Nazism and Japan militarism, to all the war veterans and their families, to all the soldiers who died before the happy May 1945. We would like to thank all the soviet people and our allies in anti-Hitler coalition: British, French, American people, the participants of the partisan detachments of different countries, and Germany as well. Thank you so much for this Great Victory!

Note that the Putinista is freely using the term "soviet" again. Tells us a lot about what that gangster thug Putin has in mind for Russia's future.

I thought the Ukraine was already absorbed in 1939.
I thought in WW2 they only invaded Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Finland. That's all. Just those ones.
Germany, Hungary, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia were merely "liberated" for 50 years or so...

Full credit to the Russian army for defeating the Nazis. That does not mean I support either Stalin or Putin.
