It was an over-reaction, but it will help to keep Liberal votes away from the Conservatives. It also brings up the bigotry that has plagued the Reform/Alliance/Conservativs since their inception. Immigrants and minorities are pretty wary of that as it is.

When you call conservatives 'bigots', 'Nazis', and 'Klansmen' then what do you call bigots, Nazis, and Klansmen?

People throw names around so much that the names lose their impact and meaning. When people descend into invective anymore I find myself more irritated with the person casting the insult.

Honestly, I'd rather have someone use the f-word or a-hole or things like that and save the really serious names for people who should accurately hold them.

Unless someone loves Hitler I REALLY do not want to hear them called a 'Nazi' no matter what they've said or done. Likewise with throwing the terms 'bigot', 'Klansman', and etc.
