December 02
Her Majesty's "Loyal" Opposition

This unholy triumvirate has to be named the Douchebags of the Week for 2 weeks running, starting Nov. 28th. As Jack Layton, Stephane Dion and Gilles Duceppe prepare to take down the government, the effects are felt in Canada's financial markets, and the dollar is affected negatively. These clowns are going to torpedo the Canadian economy if they get the reins of power. Ya, they say they'll leave the corporate tax cuts in place, what about the average Joe? Will we be faced with higher income or excise taxes, or even worse, a carbon tax? Higher sustained prices at the pump anyone?

On top of all of this, the Libs and the NDP, federalist parties, have cut a deal with the Bloc, a seperatist party. Layton and Dion have made a deal with the devil, and Canada could end up getting burned bad. This has also brought up the topic of seperation in the West again. A lot of talk of seperation by the western provinces seems to increase during recessions, or at other times when it seems as though the west is being used to keep the east propped up economically. The floundering manufacturing sector and an auto industry circling the drain have made Ontario a "have not" province once again, and many feel as though their tax dollars and oil/gas royalty revenues are being funnelled east, never to be seen again. The western provinces are right for wanting to assert control over their own resources. As the NEP showed us, when the federal government goes places that it doesn't belong, the consequences can be disastrous for all involved.

God help us if these douchebags get their hands on our country is all I gotta say.
