And how do these 62 homicide victims compare to the number in a CCW city in the good old U.S.A?

Ft. Myers, Florida, which abides by Florida state law on CCW, saw a decline in murders. Oddly, they had a record number of killings by police. A very aggressive police department may be related to the decline (just being fair is all).

also, Ive seen a statistic for florida where they say CCW holders are several times less likely to commit a homicide than non-CCW floridians.

Now that seems to go against reason, so it looks like CCW holders are the cream of the crop when it comes to law abiding citizens.

They are. They have to pass the same background check as does a prospective FBI agent or other sworn LEO and then they have to renew their background check annually which is more restrictive than the standard most law enforcement agencies apply to their officers.

Call me when Ontario's murder rate begins to approach 6.4/100 000. It was at 1.9/100 000 in 2008!

By the way, I am in rural Kentucky at this moment and feel so safe knowing some of the people I see may be packing heat!

It's only 1.9 per 100,000 because people live great distances from each other, bullets exhibit enormous difficulties in reaching their targets.

Glad you feel safe in Kentucky.
