There is a modern jungle out there and it’s people and in particular professional people.
We like to think our society is well organized and experts look after things but that may not be so. I call myself a jobs activist and have learned a lot from my political involvement including this observation. I look at the labour force statistics and I see economists not aware of the data. I talk to people all the time about jobs and while I get heated comments from individuals you write to experts and there’s a disconnect. That’s my experience of “the jungle”. Macro – economic manifestations of this are the destructive deficits of the last two and a half decades, the tech bubble and the USA bank mortgage breakdown. It’s interesting to think that the Banks are social organizations and have human failings. We all live “the jungle” at the work place. Wott?
